AGEC is proud community partner of the German short films at the 5th annual international Film Festival (OFF). On Sunday, June 6th, following short films are screened:
- as part of the Breakfast Docs at 9 am: the movie “Dream/Life”, nominated for editing
"A young man escapes his routine to find out what he truly wants in life. His friends refuse to participate in his endeavor, so he goes alone and arrives further than he ever would have dared to dream."
- as part of the Afternoon Shorts at 12 pm: the movie “Boje”, nominated for best picture and the movie “Ria”, also nominated for best picture and Art Direction:
Boje, who is living on the coast with his father Holke, has a lot of questions in his mind that are not that easy to answer. How do I know I love somebody? Where was I before I was born? How do I know I’m not dreaming? Nothing would make Holke happier than answering his son’s complex questions, but he is literally missing the right words. Nonetheless he doesn’t want to leave Boje alone with his questions and eventually turns to the sea for help...
Ria: WWII through the eyes of a child that has never really seen the war. A fantasy-story, about family, growing up and learning to cope with difficult situations.
AGEC ist stolzer Community Partner der deutschen Kurzfilme des 5. Jaehrlichen Internationalen Filmfestivals Okotoks (OFF). Am Sonntag, 6.6.2021, sind folgende deutsche Kurzfilme zu sehen:
- als Teil der Breakfast Docs um 9:00 Uhr: der Film “Dream/Life”, der für den besten Schnitt nominiert ist.
"Ein junger Mann entflieht seiner Routine, um herauszufinden, was er wirklich in seinem Leben möchte. Da sich seine Freunde verweigern, an seinem Unternehmen teilzunehmen, zieht er alleine los und kommt weiter, als er sich jemals zu Träumen gewagt hätte."
- als Teil der Afternoon Shorts um 12 Uhr: der Film “Boje”, der für den besten Film nominiert ist und der Film “Ria”, der ebenfalls für den besten Film und für die beste Art Direction nominiert ist.
"Boje, der mit seinem Vater Holke an der Küste lebt, hat eine Menge Fragen, die nicht so einfach zu beantworten sind. Wie weiß ich, daß ich jemanden liebe? Wo war ich, bevor ich geboren wurde? Wie weiß ich, daß ich nicht träume? Nichts würde Holke glücklicher machen, als die schwierigen Fragen seines Sohnes zu beantworten, aber ihm fehlen buchstäblich die richtigen Worte. Nichtsdestotrotz will er Boje mit seinen Fragen nicht alleine lassen und wendet sich schließlich an das Meer, um Hilfe zu bekommen............"
Ria: "Der zweite Weltkrieg mit den Augen eines Kindes gesehen, das nie wirklich einen Krieg erlebt hat. Eine phantastische Geschichte über Familie, Erwachsenwerden und zu lernen, mit schwierigen Situationen zurecht zu kommen."
